Medicare Supplement insurance "Plan N" costs around $30.00 to $50.00 per month less than “Plan G”.
That’s an additional $360.00 - $600.00 per year in savings versus “Plan G”.
"Plan N" only requires you pay :
-$20.00 Co-Pay per doctor visit.
-$50.00 for Emergency Room visit.
And like “Plan G”, you are required to pay the Part B
annual deductible of $240.00.

However, situations can change. For example: Patients with severe illness may require multiple treatments in a month.
According to the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) 98% of U.S. physicians who accept Medicare patients also accept Medicare assignment. So this is very rarely an issue.
Less than 2% of all doctors charge more. “Plan N” will require you to pay “excess charges” to these providers. These providers can charge no more than 15% in addition to what Medicare allows. This is called an excess charge.
In 25 years of helping our clients in Oregon, this has never been an issue. However, we need to include in this information for full disclosure about the only differences between “Plan G” and “Plan N”.
Effectively “Plan G” would pay for excess charges not seen in Oregon in over 25 years of running our agency and “Plan N” does not.
